Glynn County Animal Services
The Mission of the Glynn County Animal Services Division is to enforce the State laws and County ordinances pertaining to animal control and management; to educate the community in responsible pet ownership; to provide for the housing and care of homeless animals, coordinate their adoption when possible and their humane euthanization when adoption is not possible.
Glynn County Animal Services Advisory Board
The Animal Services Advisory Board advises the county in matters involving the humane care of animals housed at the center and in the community, raises money to aid in that care and to ensure every animal leaving the center is spayed or neutered, in compliance with current state laws. Some other projects that have resulted from donations are the purchase and outfitting of the mobile adoption unit, the purchase of Kuranda Dog Beds for dogs housed at the shelter, providing veterinary care for sick or injured animals at the shelter, and outfitting the Glynn County Fire Department with life saving resuscitation equipment for pets.
